How the treatment worksFotona 4D®

A session takes 40–90 minutes depending on the areas and consists of four stages. The laser works from the inside out: from 1D to 4D.

    Stage 4. Light peel

    SupErficial®, Er:YAG laser. A cold, precise peel: smoother texture, fresh complexion.

    Stage 3. Skin tightening

    PIANO®, Nd:YAG laser. Deep, even heating firms the tissues and lifts the facial contour.

  3. 2D

    Stage 2. Rejuvenation

    FRAC3®, Nd:YAG laser. Targets age-related imperfections and triggers new collagen.

  4. 1D

    Stage 1. Lifting from within

    SmoothLiftin®, Er:YAG laser. Treatment from the mouth side: nasolabial folds, the area around the mouth, jowls.

During the treatment you feel warmth and slight tingling. You can return to your usual activities the same or the next day.

How many sessions are needed

The recommended course is 3–4 sessions 4–6 weeks apart.

The first changes – freshness, smoothness and improved skin texture – may be visible a few days after the first session.

The rejuvenating effect accumulates gradually, and the lift becomes more pronounced over time.

To maintain the result, one session every 6–12 months is enough.

Frequently asked questions aboutFotona 4D®

Is Fotona 4D suitable for everyone?

The treatment suits women and men with early and moderate age-related changes. It is not performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with oncological diseases, inflammation or herpes in the treatment area, a fresh tan, blood clotting disorders, while taking photosensitising medication, or with a tendency to keloid scarring.

When will the result be visible?

Freshness and smoothness are visible within a few days. The lift builds gradually: according to the manufacturer, the skin keeps improving for up to 6 months after the treatment.

Is the treatment safe and is it painful?

The laser does not break the skin. Most clients describe the sensation as warmth and slight tingling. The most noticeable stage isPIANO®, and its intensity can be reduced.

Is recovery needed?

No lengthy recovery. Redness and mild swelling are possible for the first 1–2 days, followed by light flaking for a few days. During this time gentle skincare and SPF 50 are needed, with no sauna, pool, scrubs or acids.

How to prepare for Fotona 4D?

Two weeks before, avoid tanning beds, active sunbathing and chemical peels. If you get cold sores, tell us in advance. Come without make-up on the day of your visit.

How many sessions are needed?

The standard course is 3–4 sessions 4–6 weeks apart. To maintain the result, a maintenance session every six months to a year is enough.
